CPAC interviews former prime minister Jean Chrétien on the 30th anniversary of his swearing-in

Ottawa, November 3, 2023—CPAC, the Cable Public Affairs Channel, is proud to present an extensive interview with former Canadian prime minister Jean Chrétien on the 30th anniversary of his swearing-in.

Jean Chrétien led the country for a decade from 1993 to 2003. Conversations with Esther Bégin offers an in-depth look at Chrétien’s unique political career, as well as his perspective on the political landscape.

“I feel privileged to have gathered the thoughts of Mr. Chrétien, who was very generous with his time and anecdotes! This interview was an opportunity to revisit the key moments of his more than sixty years in politics, from his election as a member of Parliament for St-Maurice to his ascension as Prime Minister of Canada. Mr. Chrétien also shared his vision of today’s politics and the challenges of our changing world,” says Esther Bégin, CPAC’s French news anchor.

The first broadcast will take place on Sunday, November 5 at 9 p.m. (Eastern Time), and will also be available on cpac.ca.
