Justin Trudeau on Canada's UN Bid, NAFTA
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau speaks with reporters at United Nations headquarters in New York. He faces questions on topics including Canada's bid for a two-year seat on the UN Security Council, his interaction with U.S. President Donald Trump the previous day at the UN, revoking the honorary Canadian citizenship of Myanmar's de facto leader Aung San Suu Kyi, the human rights situation in Venezuela, and the state of NAFTA negotiations. The prime minister has spoken at several events this week on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, but he will not deliver Canada's keynote speech this year at the annual gathering of world leaders. Foreign Affairs Minister Chrystia Freeland will instead speak on behalf of Canada on September 29. (September 26, 2018) (no interpretation)
