UN Expert: Canada Lags in Implementing Rights of Persons with Disabilities
Catalina Devandas-Aguilar, the UN Special Rapporteur on the rights of persons with disabilities, speaks with reporters on Parliament Hill at the conclusion of her 10-day fact-finding visit to Canada. The special rapporteur visited Ottawa, Toronto, Montreal, Fredericton and Halifax to learn about measures being taken to implement the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. She will submit a report to the UN Human Rights Council in March 2020. (April 12, 2019) (no interpretation)
