Andrew Scheer on Bill C-69 Amendments, Pharmacare
Conservative Leader Andrew Scheer speaks with reporters following a weekly meeting of his party's caucus. He is asked about the government's rejection of the majority of Senate amendments to Bill C-69, the proposed overhaul of the environmental assessment process for major resource projects, as well as Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's response to a letter that six premiers sent to him voicing their concerns with Bills C-69 and C-48. The latter bill would prohibit large oil tanker traffic off British Columbia's north coast. The Conservative leader also comments on the recommendation of a federal advisory council for the implementation of universal, single-payer, public pharmacare. (June 12, 2019)
