Human Rights - April 3, 2019: Senators begin a pre-study on forced and coerced sterilization of women in Canada. The pre-study follows a class action lawsuit involving Indigenous victims in Saskatchewan whose forced sterilizations took place in publicly funded and administered hospitals. Giving their testimony are Alisa Lombard (Semaganis Worme Lombard), Dr. Karen Stote, Jackie Hansen (Amnesty International), and Sandeep Prasad (Action Canada for Sexual Health and Rights).
