In Committee from the House of Commons
Public Safety and National Security - December 8, 2016
Public Safety Minister Ralph Goodale discusses supplementary estimates and the Federal Court decision on the Canadian Security Intelligence Service's data retention. The court ruled last month that CSIS should not have retained this information as it was not related to threats to the security of Canada. CSIS director Michel Coulombe is also questioned about the court's decision, along with Robert Frater, chief general counsel for Justice Canada, and John Cousineau, CSIS assistant director of operations enablement.
