On the Bright Side
It's all about the arts on this week's edition of
On The Bright Side.
A newly formed non-partisan arts caucus on Parliament Hill will get the cultural sector and legislators to harmonize. Over thirty Senators and Members of Parliament have so far signed up with the overall goal to raise the visibility of the arts in Parliament.
On The Bright Side looks at how a brand new all party caucus grows from an initial idea and
Glen McInnis talks to some of the MPs involved.
Heather Seaman attends the Governor General's Literary Awards, Canada's oldest and most prestigious awards for English and French Canadian literature. She meets with the winners and brings us the highlights and history of this prestigious award.
Parliament Hill is one of the best-known symbols in Canada. Often regarded as the finest example of gothic revival architecture in the world, the Parliament Buildings were designated as a National Historic Site in 1976.
Puneet Birgi explores the history of these buildings in this week's edition of Now You Know.
Glen McInnis joins Senator
Serge Joyal as he talks about Canada's Francophone history and identity through the art displayed in the Senate.
