English | Français The Federation of Canadian Municipalities held their fifth national conference on sustainable community development in Ottawa from February 14^th to 16^th. The 2008 Conference brought together municipal leaders, speakers and experts, and focused on the theme "Moving Innovation into Practice". Bloc Québécois Leader Gilles Duceppe addressed the conference on February 16^th. In his speech, Duceppe touched on several key issues affecting Canadian municipalities today, and pledged to debate these issues in the next federal election campaign.
