Ontario Premier Announces Voluntary COVID-19 Testing at Pearson Airport
In a news conference at Toronto Pearson International Airport, Ontario Premier Doug Ford, Health Minister Christine Elliott and Solicitor General Sylvia Jones provide an update on their government’s response to the ongoing COVID-19 (coronavirus disease) pandemic. They are joined by Craig Bradbrook, Chief Operating Officer of the Greater Toronto Airports Authority. The premier announces that the government is launching a pilot program aimed at offering free and voluntary COVID-19 testing at Pearson airport. These tests will be voluntary and free of charge for eligible international travellers who land in Toronto. The results will be available within 48 hours. Premier Ford also comments on the COVID-19 vaccine distribution in the province. (January 6, 2021) (no interpretation)
