Prime Ministers Trudeau, Boris Johnson and Mark Rutte Speak with Reporters

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, and Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte hold a joint news conference following their trilateral meeting in London. In his remarks, Trudeau announces sanctions on a further ten individuals with ties to Russian President Vladimir Putin, from a list compiled by jailed opposition leader Alexei Navalny. Canadian sanctions have already targeted hundreds of senior Russian government officials, oligarchs, and supporters of Russian leadership.

The Canadian prime minister is in Europe from March 6 to 11 to meet with other world leaders. His meetings with European leaders will focus on the global response to Russia's invasion of Ukraine. (March 7, 2022)
