Airport Noise and Marc Garneau on Supplementary Estimates
Transport, Infrastructure and Communities - November 27, 2018: Transport Minister Marc Garneau defends funding requests for his department and government agencies in his federal transport portfolio. Appearing alongside the minister in the first panel for the committee’s study on the 2018-2019 supplementary estimates are the Department of Transport’s Michael Keenan and the Department of Indian Affairs and Northern Development’s Sheilagh Murphy. During the second panel, the committee proceeds to study the impact of aircraft noise in the vicinity of major Canadian airports. Participating in the study are Jeff Knoll, town and regional councillor for the Town of Oakville and Regional Municipality of Halton; the Greater Toronto Airports Authority’s Hillary Marshall and Robyn Connelly; as well as Toronto Airport Noise Group’s Sandra Best and Renee Jacoby.
