August 3: The Third Debate
A third debate was held on Aug. 3 in Ottawa after 65% of party members responding to a survey were in favour of a third official gathering. However, Poilievre and Lewis have announced they will not attend, despite the risk of a party fine.
May 25: French-language debate
Candidates vying to succeed Erin O'Toole as leader of the Conservative Party of Canada faced off in the second of two official leadership debates organized by the party.
Scott Aitchison, Roman Baber, Patrick Brown, Jean Charest, Leslyn Lewis, and Pierre Poilievre took part in this French-language debate in Laval, Que., followed by scrums with reporters. Marc-Olivier Fortin served as moderator.
