U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris (Democratic Party) and former president Donald Trump (Republican Party) face off in a debate hosted by ABC News. This is the first and only scheduled meeting of these two candidates on the debate stage, coming six weeks after U.S. President Joe Biden announced that he was withdrawing from the 2024 U.S. presidential election campaign and endorsing Harris as the Democratic Party's nominee.
