A former cabinet minister's resignation has led to a Sept. 16 byelection for this Montreal riding, a traditional Liberal stronghold. Can the governing party hold the seat against NDP and Bloc competition?

Recent Results

Former justice minister David Lametti held the riding from 2015 until resigning earlier this year, winning comfortable margins of victory in the last three elections. 

Bloc and New Democrat MPs also won elections here in a previous riding (Jeanne-Le Ber).
