CPAC welcomes experienced broadcast producer Nicolle Arams as new executive producer

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

OTTAWA—The Cable Public Affairs Channel (CPAC) announced today that Nicolle  Arams, an accomplished executive producer with over 30 years of broadcast experience, will join the channel as executive producer this fall.

Fully bilingual, Arams has worked on CBC News Network’s Power & Politics since 2010 as producer, senior producer, and then executive producer—a role she has held for the past two years. She started her career in radio at CBC and Radio-Canada in Saskatchewan and joined Radio-Canada’s bureau in Ottawa in 2002.

“Nicolle’s passion for public service broadcasting and years of experience covering parliamentary and current affairs make her a superb addition to the CPAC team,” said Christa Dickenson, incoming CPAC president and CEO. “With her expertise, creativity and proven track record producing in-depth analysis of key events that impact the lives of Canadians, we are thrilled to welcome Nicolle onboard.”

Arams joins CPAC on September 26, following the announcement that the channel’s  long-time executive producer and anchor Peter Van Dusen will retire later this fall.  Seasoned broadcaster Michael Serapio is set to begin on-air as English anchor September 19.
