Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was at question period:
Speaking briefly with reporters ahead of a cabinet meeting, Trudeau responded to questions about the RCMP's investigation into Chinese interference in Canada, the anti-government protests taking place in China, the surge of respiratory illnesses overwhelming pediatric hospitals across the country, and health-care funding for the provinces.
Also in the House of Commons:
- Bill C-29, which would establish a national council for reconciliation, returned from committee for report-stage debate.
- Debate began on a Liberal private member's bill to "create an offence for long-term care facilities, their owners and their managers to fail to provide necessaries of life to residents."
