Earlier he and federal Conservatives commented on Alberta Premier Danielle Smith's sovereignty bill aimed at protecting provincial interests.
Smith introduced Bill 1, the Alberta Sovereignty within a United Canada Act, when the fall sitting of the provincial legislature began yesterday.

Speaking to reporters on Parliament Hill, Garnett Genuis, the Conservative critic for international development, and Salma Ataullahjan, a Conservative senator from Ontario, discuss their respective bills that are currently being studied by the House of Commons.
Genuis is the sponsor of Bill C-257, which would amend the Canadian Human Rights Act to prohibit discrimination based on political belief.
Ataullahjan is the sponsor of S-223, which is aimed at preventing trafficking in human organs.

2021 Census: StatCan releases data on education, commuting habits, minority language instruction
Representatives from Statistics Canada present findings from the seventh and final release of 2021 Census data. This set of results covers data on education in Canada, the labour force and commuting, and instruction in the minority official language.
