Federal Govt. Lifting Pre-Arrival COVID-19 Testing for Travellers
In a virtual news conference, federal ministers Jean-Yves Duclos (health), Omar Alghabra (transport), and Randy Boissonnault (tourism) announce the easing of Canadian border measures that are in place due to the COVID-19 (coronavirus disease) pandemic. They are joined by Dr. Howard Njoo, Canada’s deputy chief public health officer. As of April 1, fully vaccinated travellers will no longer need to provide a pre-entry COVID-19 test result to enter Canada. Mandatory random testing of travellers will continue. (March 17, 2022)
