PM Trudeau Announces Expanded CERB Eligibility Criteria – April 15, 2020
Speaking from outside his home in Ottawa, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau discusses the federal government's response to the ongoing COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak, including the expansion of eligibility criteria for the Canada Emergency Response Benefit (CERB). Individuals who make less than $1,000 per month, seasonal workers, and those whose Employment Insurance benefits have recently run out are now eligible to apply for the benefit.
