Quebec Outlines Plan for Re-Opening Schools – April 27, 2020
In Quebec City, Jean-François Roberge, the Quebec minister of education, and Mathieu Lacombe, the province's minister of families, provide details of the plan for re-opening Quebec’s schools and child-care centres. They are joined by Richard Massé, the strategic medical advisor to the Direction générale de la santé publique. Elementary schools and child-care facilities outside Montreal will re-open on May 11, but attendance is not mandatory. Elementary schools in the Montreal region will re-open on May 19. High schools, colleges and universities will not re-open until August or September. (no interpretation)
