Quebec Premier Announces Loosening of More COVID-19 Restrictions – May 11, 2021
In Quebec City, Quebec Premier François Legault provides an update on the province's response to the ongoing COVID-19 (coronavirus disease) pandemic. He is joined by Christian Dubé, Quebec's minister of health and social services, and Dr. Horacio Arruda, the province's director of public health. The premier announces that emergency measures will end on May 17 in the Outaouais and in Rimouski. In these areas, the curfew start time will be pushed back from 8pm to 9:30pm, and high schools will reopen as well as non-essential businesses. The premier also faces questions on a data breach that targeted the province’s public daycare registry. (no interpretation)
