COVID-19: Canada Responds
Manitoba Reopening Day Camps and Child-Care Centres on July 1
In Winnipeg, Manitoba Families Minister Rochelle Squires provides an update on the province’s response to the ongoing COVID-19 (coronavirus disease) pandemic. She is joined by Dr. Jazz Atwal, Manitoba’s deputy chief public health officer. The minister announces that the province will allow summer day camps for children under 11 to open on July 1. Children will also be allowed to return to child-care centres on that date. There are no changes to cohort sizes for licensed child-care facilities, but day camps will be limited to sizes of 20.
