Ceremony of the Diamond Jubilee Medal – February 6, 2012
On February 6, 2012, Governor General David Johnston and Prime Minister Stephen Harper present the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal to 60 recipients during the inaugural ceremony in Ottawa at Rideau Hall. The Diamond Jubilee Medal marks the 60th anniversary of the Queen's accession to the throne. This commemorative medal honours Canadians who have dedicated themselves to serving their fellow citizens, their community and their country.
