B.C. Premier Outlines New Forestry Policy – June 1, 2021
At a news conference in Victoria, British Columbia Premier John Horgan announces plans to update the province’s forestry policy to redistribute some forest tenures to small operators and Indigenous communities. The premier is joined by Katrine Conroy, B.C.’s minister of forests, lands, natural resource operations and rural development; Takla Nation Chief John French; John Brink, owner operator of Brink Forest Products Ltd.; and Jeff Bromley, chair of the United Steelworkers Wood Council.
