Industry Minister Announces $635M in Research Funding – June 15, 2021
At a news conference in Trois-Rivières, Que., François-Philippe Champagne, the federal minister of innovation, science and industry, announces the awarding of $635 million in funding for research grants and projects. He is joined by Alejandro Adem, the president of the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC), Ted Hewitt, president of the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC), and Christian Blanchette, president of the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières, as well as several researchers and grant recipients.
