London, Ont. Attack: Party Leaders Make Statements in the House – June 8, 2021
In the House of Commons, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Conservative Leader Erin O’Toole, Bloc Québécois Leader Yves-François Blanchet, NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh, and Green Party parliamentary leader Elizabeth May make statements concerning the June 6 attack on a Muslim family. Four members of the London, Ontario, family were killed and a fifth, a nine-year-old boy, was seriously injured when they were struck by a pickup truck driven by a 20-year-old man. Police have said that it was a targeted attack motivated by hate.
