Former Liberal MP Frank Baylis Defends Controversial Ventilator Contract
Access to Information, Privacy and Ethics - December 4, 2020 - Part 1: Former Liberal MP Frank Baylis and his colleague Neil Godara face questions over how their company, Baylis Medical, was awarded a $237-million federal contract to procure ventilators for the pandemic. The government contract for ventilators was awarded to FTI Professional Grade Inc., who then subcontracted Baylis Medical to help produce 10,000 ventilators. Baylis was a one-term MP for the Quebec riding of Pierrefonds—Dollard from 2015-2019. Also responding to questions is FTI Professional Grade’s Rick Jamieson.
