Handling of Rail Blockades Dominates Parliament – February 18, 2020
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Conservative Party Leader Andrew Scheer make statements, in the House Chamber, over the Wet'suwet'en solidarity protests that have resulted in a nationwide rail blockade. All the party leaders speak to reporters afterwards about Scheer’s speech in the House which led to his exclusion from an all-party leaders’ meeting held by the prime minister. Independent MP Jody Wilson-Raybould also responds to reporters about the rail blockades. Assembly of First Nations (AFN) National Chief Perry Bellegarde and other Indigenous leaders hold a news conference about the Wet'suwet'en protests and the rail blockades.
