PM Trudeau on Clean Energy Investments, Resource Development – April 12, 2023
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau holds a news conference at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg to highlight recent budget measures for building a clean economy. He is joined by Marcia Friesen (Dean, Price Faculty of Engineering, University of Manitoba), Michael Benarroch (president, University of Manitoba) and Terry Duguid (Liberal MP, Winnipeg South). Responding to questions from reporters, the prime minister comments on the resignation of the CEO and board of directors of the Trudeau Foundation in the aftermath of a donation it received that was allegedly linked to Beijing. Trudeau also faces questions on concerns over natural resources development in the Prairie provinces and the Public Service Alliance of Canada's (PSAC) announcement that has received a strike mandate from the 155,000 federal public servants that the union represents.
