NDP MPs Urge Support for Palestinian-Canadians’ Families in Gaza

NDP MPs Matthew Green and Jenny Kwan urge the federal government to help evacuate Palestinian-Canadians’ family members in Gaza amid the Israel-Hamas war. Their party is calling for special immigration measures to be enacted immediately in order to evacuate extended family members of Canadians and permanent residents in Gaza.

The MPs are joined at the news conference in Ottawa by Rani Hemaid and Israa Alsaafin, who have relatives in Gaza, and by Khalid Elgazzar, vice-chair of the National Council of Canadian Muslims (NCCM). (December 4, 2023) (no interpretation)
