At a news conference in Ottawa, ministers provide an update on the federal response to Hurricane Fiona. The post-tropical storm, which made landfall in eastern Nova Scotia on the morning of September 24, brought damaging winds, flooding, and power outages to much of Atlantic Canada and parts of Quebec. In attendance at this news conference are ministers Bill Blair (emergency preparedness) Anita Anand (defence), Dominic LeBlanc (intergovernmental affairs, infrastructure and communities), Diane Lebouthillier (national revenue), Sean Fraser (immigration, refugees and citizenship), and Gudie Hutchings (rural economic development), as well as Sean Casey, the MP for Charlottetown.
