Minister Freeland Comments After CPP Meeting with Provinces

In Ottawa, federal Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland holds a media availability following a meeting with her provincial and territorial counterparts to discuss Alberta’s proposed withdrawal from the Canada Pension Plan (CPP). Freeland announces that she has asked the chief actuary to provide an estimate of the asset transfer amount should the province choose to leave the plan.
