In Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Premier Tim Houston announce that their governments are partnering with tire manufacturer Michelin to support a $300- million modernization project for the company’s manufacturing facilities in the province. They are joined by federal ministers Sean Fraser (immigration, refugees and citizenship) and François-Philippe Champagne (innovation, science and industry) as well as Alexis Garcin (president and CEO, Michelin North America). The prime minister responds to questions on calls for a public inquiry to examine foreign election interference and the timeline for the appointment of a special rapporteur to examine such meddling in Canada’s electoral system. He also comments on federal funding for health-care as well as the future of Canada’s emergency visa program for Ukrainians fleeing Russian aggression. (March 14, 2023) (no interpretation)
