Ontario CUPE Strike: Labour Leaders Discuss Pushback on Back-to-Work Bill

Mark Hancock, national president of the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE), is joined by fellow labour leaders to discuss the ongoing strike action by Ontario’s education workers and the province’s back-to-work legislation. On November 3, the provincial government passed the bill aimed at preventing a strike by the workers, who are represented by CUPE. The government is seeking to have the current job action declared illegal.
