Ontario Announces Expanded Distribution of Free Rapid Tests – February 9, 2022
In Kitchener, Ontario Health Minister Christine Elliott announces that starting February 9, the province will offer 44 million free rapid tests at select grocery stores and pharmacies. Over 5 million tests will be distributed weekly for eight weeks to 2,300 pharmacies and grocery stores, and a further 500,000 tests will be delivered to vulnerable communities. Minister Elliott also announces that the province will begin a resumption of surgeries and procedures in the coming days. She is joined by Shelly Kiroff, senior vice president of Health and Wellness at Walmart Canada. (No interpretation)
