Doug Ford Pledges to Build 401 Tunnel if Re-Elected – February 7, 2025

Doug Ford, the leader of the Ontario Progressive Conservative party, holds a campaign news conference in Scarborough. He announces that a re-elected PC government would move forward with a plan for the construction of a 401 Tunnel Expressway. Ford comments on the month-long pause on U.S. tariffs and on the Canada-U.S. Economic Summit being held in Toronto. He also calls for former Chief of Defence Staff Rick Hillier to be appointed as Canada’s fentanyl czar.
