Federal Govt Invests in Saskatchewan’s Critical Minerals

Jonathan Wilkinson, the federal minister of energy and natural resources, announces his government is investing $16 million to support the Saskatchewan Research Council (SRC) in developing its rare earth processing facility in Saskatoon. This investment builds on previous federal funding for the facility.

Minister Wilkinson is joined by Jeremy Harrison, Saskatchewan’s minister of trade and export development, Mike Crabtree, president and CEO of the SRC, and Muhammad Imran, vice-president of the SRC’s rare earth elements division. (August 14, 2024) (no interpretation)
