Jagmeet Singh Discusses NDP’s Drug Decriminalization Bill – June 1, 2022

NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh and Gord Johns, the party’s critic for mental health and harm reduction, hold a news conference in Ottawa to discuss Johns’ national drug decriminalization bill. The private member’s bill will be voted on in its second reading later in the day. The news conference comes one day after the federal government granted an exemption to British Columbia to decriminalize certain drugs to deal with the opioid crisis.
