At a news conference in Kanata, Ont., Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announces that the federal government has reached agreements with 11 of 13 provinces and territories to extend funding for child care and early learning. He is joined by Jenna Sudds, the federal minister of families, children and social development.

Responding to questions from reporters, the prime minister also comments on ongoing negotiations with United States President Donald Trump following the U.S. decision to impose tariffs on imported Canadian goods. (March 6, 2025)
