Briefing From Immigration Minister Sean Fraser on Supplementary Estimates

Citizenship and Immigration - March 3, 2022:

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Minister Sean Fraser appears before the committee to discuss the latest supplementary estimates for his department.

During the briefing, the minister informs the committee that the Liberal government will spend a significant portion of its funding on IRCC’s operational costs, including processing temporary resident visas for workers and the Canada?Quebec Accord on Immigration.

Conservative MP Jasraj Singh Hallan also asks the minister about visa-free travel for Ukrainians and the delays and obstacles in acquiring visas for Afghans and Ukrainians.

Also appearing are senior officials from Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada.
