Environment Committee Begins Study Of Fossil Fuel Subsidies
Environment and Sustainable Development - March 29, 2022:
The committee begins its study on fossil fuel subsidies by hearing from Normand Mousseau, professor at Université de Montréal, and Mark Agnew, senior vice-president of policy and government relations for the Canadian Chamber of Commerce.
Later, the members pick up where they left off in their ongoing examination of single-use plastics.
Also appearing as witnesses are representatives from the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers, the Canadian Labour Congress, the Explorers and Producers Association of Canada, Oil Change International, and the United Nations Environment Programme.
