During the first half of the meeting, committee members hear from academics on Bill C-242, An Act to amend the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (temporary resident visas for parents and grandparents).

Later, the committee shifts its focus to immigration application backlogs and processing delays during a panel discussion with legal experts.
