Public Inquiry into Foreign Interference – October 15, 2024

Katie Telford, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's chief of staff, and Dominic LeBlanc, the federal public safety minister, are among the witnesses testifying as the Public Inquiry into Foreign Interference in Federal Electoral Processes and Democratic Institutions continues its hearings in Ottawa. The commission also hears from the prime minister’s deputy chief of staff Brian Clow and senior global affairs advisor Patrick Travers.
Led by Quebec judge Marie-Josée Hogue, the commission is examining allegations of foreign interference by China, Russia and other foreign states in the 2019 and 2021 Canadian federal elections.
