Black History Month Launch

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the recognition of Black History Month as an event celebrated from coast to coast. This year's launch featured the Honourable Jean Augustine, who became in 1993 the first woman of African descent elected to the House of Commons in Canada. Ms Augustine sponsored the motion that made Black History Month the event it has become.
