Pierre Poilievre Promises Tough Consequences for Intimate Partner Violence

Accompanied by women who survived domestic violence in Trois-Rivières, Quebec, Conservative Party leader Pierre Poilievre announces that he will create a new Criminal Code offence for assault of an intimate partner. This change will make it possible to impose harsher sentences and greatly limit release before trial or upon conviction.
