Pierre Poilievre Pledges to Enact Energy Sector’s Recommendations
At a news conference in St. John’s, Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre commits to enacting a set of five policy recommendations from Canada’s energy sector, which include ending the industrial carbon tax and repealing the government’s environmental impact assessment law (C-69). The recommendations were made in an open letter to all party leaders released just before the start of the election campaign, signed by the heads of 14 energy companies.
Poilievre is introduced by Steve Kent, the Conservative candidate for Avalon, N.L. (April 1, 2025) (no interpretation)
