Conference on Innovation and Globalization – Opening Remarks

The Alex Trebek Forum for Dialogue at the University of Ottawa organizes a two-day conference on the interaction between globalization and innovation. Panellists and participants from academia, government and the private sector discuss topics such as innovations in science and medicine, reconciliation with Indigenous peoples in Canada and the challenges of climate change.

Opening remarks to the conference are given by Algonquin Elder Claudette Commanda, Jacques Frémont, president and vice-chancellor of the University of Ottawa, and David Lametti, parliamentary secretary to the minister of innovation, science and economic development. (November 30, 2017)
