Ministers Speak with Reporters After Cabinet Meeting – March 14, 2025

Ministers from newly sworn-in Prime Minister Mark Carney's cabinet speak to reporters following their first cabinet meeting on Parliament Hill. Carney and his new cabinet of 23 ministers were sworn in earlier in the day at a ceremony at Rideau Hall in Ottawa.

Speaking briefly are: Ministers François-Philippe Champagne (finance), Patty Hajdu (Indigenous services), Kody Blois (agriculture and agri-food, rural economic development), Nathaniel Erskine-Smith (housing), Chrystia Freeland (transport, internal trade), Steven Guilbeault (Canadian culture and identity, Parks Canada and Quebec lieutenant), Kamal Khera (health), and Ali Ehsassi (government transformation, public services and procurement), and Kirsten Hillman (Canada’s ambassador to the United States).
