In Committee from the Senate of Canada
Social Affairs, Science and Technology - April 10, 2017
The committee hears from three panels as it continues to examine Bill S-5. The government's legislation would introduce a regulatory framework for vaping products such as e-cigarettes and implement plain packaging for tobacco products. John Britton (director, UK Centre for Tobacco and Alcohol Studies) and David Hammond (associate professor, University of Waterloo) are on the first panel. Senators then hear from Dr. Peter Selby (clinician scientist, Centre for Addiction and Mental Health) and Neil Collishaw (research director, Physicians for a Smoke-Free Canada). The last panel is made up of Rob Cunningham (senior policy analyst, Canadian Cancer Society) and Amy Henderson (public policy manager, Canadian Lung Association). (April 10, 2017)
