Celebration of the 375th Anniversary of Montreal’s Founding
A mass is held at Montreal’s Notre-Dame Basilica on May 17, 2017, to commemorate the 375th anniversary of the city’s founding. The mass is followed by an outdoor ceremony in the Place d’Armes. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Quebec Premier Philippe Couillard, Montreal Mayor Denis Coderre, and Ghislain Picard (the chief of the Assembly of First Nations of Quebec and Labrador) are among the participants.
